DUE TO CURRENT CIRCUMSTANCES OUR NEXT CONCERT HAS BEEN POSTPONED
Unfortunately due to current circumstances and Government advice, Cowbridge Choral Society, in conjunction with Pontypridd Choral Society, had to postpone our concert, This decision comes with a heavy heart but we have to take into consideration the health of our audience and our choristers, especially given the demographic of the choirs.
We still hope to be able to perform our concert so you won't miss out. If you already have tickets please get in touch with the person who sold them to you if possible, if this is not possible get in touch with the choir directly.
Stay safe, stay healthy and we'll hopefully see you all soon!
New members are always welcome to join the Choral Society, and experience is not essential. Rehearsals take place in the United Free Church, Westgate St (opposite the Police Station) every Thursday at 7.30 pm.
World Cup Choir
Ladies from Cowbridge Choral Society recently travelled to the Kempton Park racecourse in Middlesex for a massed choirs event. 1000 singers spent the day there to celebrate the Rugby World Cup and raise money for the charity Voices for Hospices. The programme featured songs representing all four home nations as well as a rehearsal and performance of "The Armed Man" by Karl Jenkins, who was present at the event. The concert was supported by a full orchestra as well as the band of the Honourable Artillery Company. Carole Lloyd, the Society's Musical Director, said "the whole day was a wonderful experience, particularly singing with so many others".
